Dallas homeowners know their fences take a beating from the Texas heat, humidity, and the occasional spring storm or summer downpour. The expansive clay soil that lies beneath most of Dallas shifts with every wet and dry cycle, and that movement heaves fence posts, racks panels, and leaves even new installations leaning within a few seasons.
Since 2012, Dallas Fencing has been the call for homeowners and property managers across Dallas and the surrounding area who need honest work at fair prices. Whether your cedar privacy fence is sagging at the posts, a gate is dragging on its hinges, or a storm has flattened a section of your fence line, we show up with crews who know the local soil, the building code, and how to do the job right the first time.
Fencing in Dallas (75226) and the Greater Area
Dallas sits on Houston Black clay, the same dense, moisture-sensitive soil that defines the region. That clay swells when wet and shrinks when dry, and the seasonal cycle is relentless. Post heave and settlement are the norm here, not the exception. A fence that leans is almost always a post problem, not a panel problem. The posts were either set too shallow, tamped instead of concrete-set, or simply spaced too far apart to handle the soil movement. We see it constantly in the pre-war Tudor and craftsman blocks on deep lots, where cedar privacy fences are the default, and in the newer master-planned subdivisions where HOA standards call for cedar or vinyl at consistent heights and colors.
We have been serving Dallas and the Dallas area since 2012, installing and repairing wood and privacy fences, vinyl and PVC, chain link, aluminum and ornamental iron, gates, and automatic driveway gates. Our crews are fully insured and AFA Member Installers with the American Fence Association. We work from your survey, pull the required Texas 811 utility locates before we dig, and coordinate with your HOA if deed restrictions or architectural standards govern your fence height, material, or color.

How a Fence Job Works in Dallas
We start with a free on-site assessment. You call us at (469) 737-9552 or reach out online, and we schedule a time to walk your property, look at the existing fence or the space where you want to build one, and talk through your goals, budget, and any HOA or city requirements. We ask about your survey, we check setback and height rules with the Dallas building department if needed, and we give you an honest estimate in writing.
Once you approve the work, our crews handle everything: we order the materials, pull the 811 locate, mark your property line, set posts in concrete at proper spacing and depth, install stringers and rails, hang boards or panels, set gates on hinges or tracks, and make sure every fastener is galvanized or stainless so it holds up to Dallas heat and humidity. If you have an HOA, we coordinate timing and color. If the job includes storm damage repair or post replacement, we document what failed and why, so you have a clear record for insurance if needed.
We leave your property clean. Debris is hauled away, the site is swept, and you get a final walkthrough so you know the work is done right.
Pricing for fence work in Dallas depends on material, height, soil conditions, and whether posts need replacement. Wood and privacy fences start at $29 per linear foot, vinyl at $40 per linear foot, and chain link at $15 per linear foot. Aluminum and ornamental iron start at $44 per linear foot. Gate installation and repair start at $460, and automatic driveway gates start at $2,900. Fence repair work starts at $425, and post repair or replacement also starts at $425. Storm damage repair begins with a free damage assessment. The biggest cost drivers are post work (because of the clay soil and the depth required), gate hardware and automation, and material choice. Call us at (469) 737-9552 for a free estimate, and we will walk you through what your specific fence needs and what it will cost.
